Lumbini is the birth place of Lord Buddha, founder of
Buddhism which is situated in Kapilvastu district. Ashok pillar, Mayadevi
Temple, and other historical and religious temple are the main attraction of
this place. There is a pond near by the Mayadevi temple where it is said that
Buddha’s mother; Mayadevi had her first bath after giving birth to Siddhartha
Gautam. Lumbini is the sacred place and holy place of Nepal which is listed
under World heritage of Nepal. Many visitors from within the country and from
abroad visit this place. Now-a-days there are various other temples within the
Lumbini periphery constructed by foreign countries of Asia and Europe which are
the point of attraction for the visitors.
But now-a-days India is claiming that Lumbini was originally
of theirs and to prove this they are constructed a similar so named Lumbini in
India. And this conflict has become one of the major issues in the
international society. If our Lumbini is protected and preserved then it is a
major source to fame our country as well earn a lot of revenue.
