culture in nepal

Culture in Nepal
Nepal: a country with diversity in culture…but unity among all. There are more than 100 cultures in Nepal. Though there are different people with various cultural norms and values but each of them has got its own importance and each possess equal respect and honor. Whichever culture whoever owns but they are highly devoted towards hospitality, love, brotherhood and understanding.
Brahmin, chettri, gurung, magar, rai, limbu, tamang etc... are some Nepalese cultures. Brahmin are known for being highly educated, chettri for being powerful soldiers for the protection of the nation and in such way there is division of work. This all is the evidence which signifies that though Nepal is small country, is huge in the diversity of the culture and then has got a large heart in its people which has made it to remain as one of the beautiful country in the world and has been a point of attraction for the tourist. My heart grew wonder when I see a American dancing in Kathmandu Durbar Square though he don’t understand the dance, when a Australian asks various questions to me at basantapur regarding the “Kumari”, when a Dutch with a heavy bag of around 10kg walks up high in the sloppy hill of Ghandruk. This all feeling can only make you happy and proud when you can dare to say that you are a Nepalese. So, I am proud today to be a Nepalese and to born in such a country where garden is so small but is full of flowers and the gardener is happy looking at that.
